Print this handy reference guide, take it to your spa location and fill in
the required dimensions for your spa shape and design.
Refer to your measurements when ordering your replacement
1. Should I measure my cover or my spa?
Should your current cover fit your spa in the same manner you would like your replacement cover to, go
ahead measure the old cover. Normally, you are needing a replacement cover due to your current cover being
waterlogged, warped, or mis-shapen due to the quality of the product or outside elements. That being
said, you will get the best fit from your new cover if you measure the spa itself. You can always compare the
spa measurements to the old cover for comparison and verification depending upon your situation.
Take note that we will custom make your AccuLok cover per your specifications. Should a cover be built incorrectly
due to our mistake, we will re-make your cover correctly, pay for the shipping of the corrected
cover, and you can return our mistake at our expense. AccuLok covers are made to within 1” of your supplied
measurement.
If the cover is made correctly to your measurements and you have made an error in measuring, we can assume
responsibility for that. Be sure to measure correctly, once, twice, and double-check again before placing
your order. Refer to the AccuLok Measuring Tips found on this site for assistance.
2. Where should I measure?
First, measure your dimensions based on the installation type that best matches your own. Click onto the
Measuring Tips document found on the customer care section of this site; www.acculokhottubs.com for further
details if any question may arise.
3. How should I measure it?
Measure each requested dimension in inches at the widest point. Round up every measurement to the nearest
inch. If the cover is slightly over-sized, it will function properly. Should the replacement cover be too
small, you will compromise heat retention, looks, and possible locking strap issues. All measurements are in
inches.
Measuring a Radius
Most newer portable spa models have rounded corners requiring a radius measurement for proper fit.
The measurement is the intersection of two lines drawn from where the curve starts on both sides of
a spa corner. The easiest way to measure a corner radius is with a carpenter's square. A straight edge;
ruler, or tape measure, can be used to determine where that intersection would be.
