Can I install the Cantar Removable Protect-A-Pool fencing system?
Yes you can. Unlike some other manufacturers, Cantar has made installing your Protect-A-Pool safety fence a simple process. The Protect-A-Pool fence is the very first safety fence installed using a Rotary Hammer Drill. Absolutely no need to use that expensive, confusing, and cumbersome Core Drill. The average time it takes for an installation of 12 panels is about four hours, with only one person needed. Each order comes with full instructions that guides you every step of the way. How is the Pool Fence Removable?
Removing the Protect-A-Pool fence is a quick and easy job. All you have to do is squeeze the poles together gently at the top and unhook the stainless steel post latch. Pull the Poly-Alum fence pole straight up and out of the nylon sleeve. This process only takes a few seconds. One person can remove the average 12 panel pool fance in about five to ten minutes. With long term storage use the nylon sleeve caps to keep debris from the sleeve and finish the look. Some people use a mesh pool cover for the winter and keep the Cantar Safety Fence up during the summer. Otherwise people generally use their pool safety fence until their children were old enough to responsibly use the swimming pool on their own.
Can I store the swimming pool fence, or not use it for some time?
For longer term storage, use the nylon sleeve caps to keep debris from the sleeve, and finish the look. The sections roll up and stack neatly in a small location. The safety fence is quickly removable for pool parties or activities where temporary removal is desired.
Is the Pool Fence removable by Children?
Children under ten years old can not remove the safety fence because they do not have the height or hand size to squeeze the poles and simultaneously unhook the latch. The fence poles cannot be removed without first being unlatched at the top. It is also impossible to climb the fence but you need to keep tables, chairs or like items away from the fence, to prevent children climbing on them and over the fence.
Does the Cantar Removable Protect A Pool safety fence meet our pool fencing codes?
Cantar removable safety fences meet a majority of county and city fence ordinances, requiring non-climbable fence of four or five feet in height, with (available) self-closing, self-latching gate, utilizing the Magna-Latch pull top gate latch. Please consult your local ordinance for pool fence interface to buildings, hillsides, hedges or other natural barriers.
How durable is the Cantar Removable Protect-A-Pool safety pool fence?
The Cantar Mesh is well-known to be virtually indestructible. It will not ever rot, mildew, fade, pool or deteriorate over time. The carbonized strands of material form a fused web of interlocked polypropylene and is impervious to any weather. These pool safety fences are built for the long haul.
What kind of decking do I need to install the Cantar Pool Safety Fence?
You are going to need a solid deck with at least two inches in thickness. Pressure treated wood or concrete work best, while interlocking pavers can also be used. If you have an area of grass that you need to cross we recommend using a post hole digger to create a 12" x 4" hole that can be filled with bag mix concrete. You can set the sleeve into the concrete while it's still wet to avoid drilling some holes.
What Tools do I need to install the Cantar Pool Safety Fence?
- Rigid Tape Measure - to measure between holes
- Marking Pencil - to mark holes
- Straight edge 3 - 4 ft in length - to mark lines between holes
- Rotary Hammer drill, 7/16" masonry drill bit - to drill holes
- Drill Guide - to drill holes at proper angle, rent or buy
- Hammer - to tap in nylon sleeves
- Electric extension cord - to power drill
- Garden Hose - to hose out holes and spray off deck
