The Hayward EC-30 Filter and Pump system incorporates Hayward's proven Perflex DE filter with the excellent Power-Flo line of pool pumps to bring you a turnkey solution for above ground pool filtration.The EC-30 system features the patented Flex-Tube™ design that allows for longer cycles between cleaning because you can use the same DE powder over and over. Plus, the Perflex system cleans without backwashing, which will save you hundreds of gallons of treated pool water. You will also save on electricity as the efficient design of the Perflex system offers less resistance to flow, filtering more water with less horsepower.

The EC-30 filter and pump system is intended for either new installations or replacement of older equipment. Recommended for pools up to 16,000 gallons. 18’ round and 12'x24' oval.

Diatomaceous Earth Powder

DE Powder is the filtration media for diatomaceous earth pool filters. Our DE powder is of the highest quality and will provide you with outstanding filtration results that will leave your pool water sparkling clean. DE powder filters out contaminant particles as small as 3 to 5 microns. Now that's clean!

Fresh diatomaceous earth powder is required every time you backwash your DE filter and will keep your filter working at peak performance. After back washing, add 1 lb. of DE Powder per 10 sq. ft. filter area. DE Powder is lighter than other dry measures - 1 lb of DE powder is about equal to a 1 lb coffee can. Upon initial start up of a DE filter, with fully hosed-clean or new grids, you should add more DE Powder, perhaps 1 lb per 5-7 sq. ft. of filter area. Add a small amount more if you are cleaning green or hazy water.
