Badu Pump
Why save electricity when you can generate it? Speck Pumps has taken another step by creating the first solar pump for the pool and spa industry. Using 100% recyclable plastics makes this truly a recyclable "environment friendly" pump. The Badu ® Solar is ideally suited for pools, filtrations systems, solar pool heating, ponds, irrigation systems, and aquariums. Speck's high quality continues in the Badu® Solar with positive advances to benefit the consumer and the environment.
Features:
- This high performance, medium head pump comes complete with our unique mechanical shaft seal that allows the pump, if mistreated, to run dry for up to one hour.
- The pump can be used for pool water with a salt concentration of up to 5000 ppm. (For a higher concentration please call)
- Pump parts are made of 100% recyclable plastic. Non-corrosive, chemical/UV resistant, and can withstand temperatures of up to 175° F.
- This pump is suitable for solar generators 340 - 900 Wp (Watts-peak): 4 - 6 pieces of 12V nominal solar panels.
- Approximately 3/4 BHP.
- Maximum flow rate is 66 gallons per minute.
- Solar generator: Nominal voltage 48 - 72 DC. Open circuit voltage max 150V.
- Batter, DC source: Nominal voltage 48 V DC.
- Maintenance-free 3 phase brushless DC motor, with a maximum power input of 600W.
- Pump comes equipped with 2" suction and 1 1/2"/2" discharge unions ensuring optimum efficiency.
- Specially constructed clear lid with ring lock design is easy to open. Large strainer basket is always locked in place.
- Optional Component: The Controller PS600 protects against reverse polarity, overload, and high temperatures. 92% maximum efficiency (pump + controller)
- Three/Two year warranty on all parts including normal wear of the mechanical seal. Motor and Controller also carries a two year warranty.
- Every pump is performance tested before leaving the Speck factory.
