System 3 brings you the proven performance of Sta-Rite's sophisticated sand filter hydraulics in the world's safest and easiest to operate filter. Its sophisticated design yields a uniform flow pattern. Sta-Rite's sophisticated under-drain design has a proven performance record of greater sand bed depth penetration, more thorough backwashing and long cycle times.
Sixteen precision molded twist-lock laterals and an advanced hub design make System 3 sand filters unsurpassed in reliability. Features a multi-port valve. Special lateral design provides superior flow characteristics and long filter cycles for economical operation. Use coarse aquarium sand or 100 lbs. clean pea gravel and the balance in coarse aquarium sand (requires:StaRite backwash value).
