Safety Pool Cover Springs
Safety Cover Springs & Spring Covers
Safety Cover Springs: Our safety pool cover springs are exceptionally durable, crafted of 316 Marine-Grade Stainless Steel. You won't find cover springs rusting, but they can bend out-of-round, if the pool cover receives a large snow load, with the pool water level lower than 18" from the underside of the safety cover. Damage to cover springs can also occur if the cover straps are tightened too tight, so that the spring is completely compressed.
8” Standard Stainless Steel Springs: The normal length for most safety covers is 8".
5” Standard Stainless Steel Springs: Short cover springs are used in situations where the cover comes close to the edge of the pool deck or a raised wall. Short springs are 5" in length.
8” Pro-Strength Stainless Steel Double Springs: The normal length for most safety covers is 8" and the double springs are often found on larger pool covers, Pro Mesh, Sun Block Mesh, Commercial Grade Mesh, and heavier grade Solid Pool Covers. The double coil gives added strength and durability.
8” Vinyl Spring Cover: Vinyl spring covers protect your concrete deck (and your safety cover springs). As snow accumulates and melts your cover dips and then springs back. Without spring covers the spring coils would rub on your deck and could scratch the surface. Spring covers are available in single & double sizes, and can easily be trimmed to fit the 5” springs.
